PixQR

PixQR API

Approval-only API access for real-time dynamic QR creation, destination updates, batch automation and analytics workflows.

What the API is for

  • Create dynamic QR codes from external systems.
  • Update approved QR destinations in real time.
  • Automate large catalogues, product packaging, menus, campaigns and event badges.
  • Read scan counts, safety state and batch history for authorised workspaces.
  • Integrate QR generation into CRM, ecommerce, DAM, PIM, ERP or internal tooling.

Approval-only access

API access is not self-serve. We review the organisation, use case, expected volume, abuse risk, destination control, privacy impact and security requirements before issuing credentials.

Approved access will use scoped keys, hashed secrets, rate limits, audit logs and workspace isolation.

Capabilities

CapabilityPurpose
Create QRCreate static or dynamic QR records with saved designs.
Update destinationChange dynamic QR targets with audit logging.
Batch createSubmit validated batches from external systems.
AnalyticsRead scan totals, countries and campaign summaries.
WebhooksReceive security, abuse, billing or campaign events.

Security requirements

  • API keys must be stored server-side only.
  • Keys and webhook secrets are hashed at rest.
  • Every destination mutation must create an audit log.
  • Dynamic redirects must never use arbitrary query parameters as final destinations.
  • High-risk or high-volume access may require additional approval and monitoring.

These are currently used by the PixQR application session. Public API versions will be formalised separately with scoped credentials.
